Applicability: All staff, independent contractors, and caregivers are highly trained and are approved by AHCA and background screens are conducted regularly for clients associated with Social Care LLC.
Regulatory Compliance, Licensure Requirements: Maintain compliance with Florida Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) regulations. Ensure proper licensing of the Nurse Registry.
Staff Qualifications: All caregivers (RNs, LPNs, CNAs, HHAs) must meet licensure and certification requirements as outlined by the Florida Department of Health. Client Rights and Advocacy: with case mangement for Broward County and also provide home care companion Broward and Miami Dade. Adhere to Florida laws protecting client rights, including informed consent and access to care. Ensure services are non-discriminatory and inclusive. Confidentiality and HIPAA Compliance: Safeguard client data and medical information per HIPAA.

Client Services: Intake and Assessment: Procedures for evaluating client needs, creating care plans, and obtaining informed consent. Service Agreements: Clear contracts defining the scope of care, billing, and terms of service.
Staffing and Contractor Policies: Screening and Onboarding: Background checks, drug screening, and verification of licensure and credentials. Training: Ongoing education and training on patient care, emergency protocols, and infection control.
Incident Management: Report and document accidents, injuries, or other incidents promptly.
Care Delivery Standards: Ensure safe, ethical, and high-quality care in compliance with industry best practices.
Financial Management
Billing and Payment: Transparent billing policies, payment schedules,
Sliding Scale Options: Provide affordability for clients experiencing financial hardship.
Compliance with Medicaid/Medicare:
Follow all federal and state billing regulations, if applicable. Emergency and Safety Policies
Emergency Preparedness: Protocols for hurricanes, storms, and/or other natural disasters. Evacuation procedures and communication plans for staff and clients.
Infection Control: Implement policies to prevent the spread of illnesses, including the use of PPE and compliance with COVID-19 guidelines.
Quality Assurance: Performance Monitoring; Routine evaluations of caregiver performance and client satisfaction.
Complaint Resolution: Procedures for receiving, investigating, and resolving complaints.
