What is Companion Care?
There are many seniors who live at home who suffer from loneliness and are unable to interact with their loved ones or just simply struggle with simple daily tasks and need an extra pair of hands. A companion caregiver can provide companionship, supervision, and a wide range of other services to senior adults who might not have family or friends available to help them. Older adults who receive this type of at-home care may experience improved moods, a reduced risk of hospitalization, a reduction in the need for nursing home placement, and a reduction in depression.
